Morgan Minnick grew up in Logansport, Indiana where she grew up in the ag industry. Morgan works for NxtGen Sales and owns 3M Media Morgan has been involved in this industry from showing sheep to livestock judging and starting her own path. Morgan is a proud alum of Texas Tech University, where she graduated from Davis College with a degree in Agricultural Communication. “Wreck ‘Em”
“Hi, I’m Morgan Minnick! I grew up on a row crop operation and spent lots of time showing sheep, which in turn sparked my passion for livestock and agriculture. That path led me into livestock judging, taking me out west to South Plains College and later Texas Tech. Now when I’m not traveling, my home base is western Illinois. Where I run my business, 3M Media, and work with NxtGen Sales.”
Morgan followed in her sister’s footsteps by showing sheep. That passion led to so many opportunities in the industry.
“From the start of my junior career, I followed in my sister’s footsteps and began showing sheep. My mom worked hard to build strong relationships with breeders across the country, which opened the door for me and my siblings to have incredible opportunities in the show ring and stay heavily involved in the industry.”
After her time as a junior exhibitor came to a close, Morgan like many others knew she wanted to stay involved in the industry that shaped her into the person she is today.
“Luckily, I’ve had many opportunities to do just that! With my brother still in 4-H, I still have a full barn full of sheep. So, I’ve been able to help him with his show sheep, and I’ve also had the chance to work with livestock photography companies such as Next Level Livestock Images and Cindy’s Livestock Photos—keeping me in the ring and behind the camera, capturing memories for exhibitors across the country. “
Morgan also runs her own business3M Media where she has been able to stay involved in this industry. Morgan also has the ability to stay involved through helping her boyfriend Trace Titus with his family’s business.
“I enjoy taking sales photos for firms, creating marketing materials, and capturing portraits for seniors, families, and more. Since moving back to Western Illinois, I’ve spent a lot of time with my boyfriend, Trace, and his family at Titus Club Lambs. Where we stay busy in the barn and at shows helping exhibitors with their sheep projects. In addition, my work with NxtGen Online Sales has given me a platform to highlight and assist breeders in selling their stock for junior exhibitors and genetic firms nationwide.”
Morgan has been very involved in the show industry and as she has grown so has the industry so I asked her what she thought was something that the industry needed more of.
“Kindness is something I believe in across all areas of life and within our industry. You never know what someone is going through or what their past looks like, and a little kindness can make all the difference. At the end of the day, it’s not hard to just be nice.”
Morgan started 3M Media in 2023, where she wanted to follow in her moms steps of being a photographer she saw 3M Media as a way to share her experience in livestock by helping behind the scenes and in the ring she has also continued to expand with portrait photography.
“My mom was a photographer and I wanted to follow her legacy which led me to start my own business 3M Media! I knew I had a knack for picturing livestock with all that I had learned from livestock judging, raising and showing. With this knowledge I wanted to use my talent to help others by picturing their stock, capturing memories in the ring, and creating materials to help market livestock through different creative avenues. I also began to focus more on portrait photography, which I have enjoyed being a small part capturing families, seniors, couples, and everything in between. I have learned over the years just take the picture you might not know when that is all you have left!”
“Never stop learning and give everything your 110%. People see when you go the extra mile.”
- Morgan has been very fortunate to have a long list of supporters!
“This list is long. I wouldn’t be where I’m at today without a lengthy list of people. My mom introduced this life to me and my siblings and I wouldn’t be where I am today with the sheep or a camera in my hand without her. My dad has made things happen for me and my siblings for years and always stays out of the spotlight. Me and my siblings have a great relationship and I know they will always be two people in my corner cheering me on. I owe the Titus family for always having my back and cheering me on. Whether that was my last years showing sheep or running my business they have always supported me in everything I have done. The list goes on and I’m so thankful for those that support me.”
Morgan hopes to continue to spread kindness and be a helping hand to those chasing their dreams while continuing to use 3M Media to capture her creativity as she makes many memories. She hopes to continue her small flock that her and her boyfriend Trace have recently started.
“I hope to continue to spread kindness to others and be a helping hand to those that might be chasing their dreams. I hope to continue to use 3M Media and my creativity to capture stock the best way possible. From sale pictures to ring shots, breeders, feeders, showmen, and supporters. They all deserve photos that show their stock in the best light whether that is in the sale pen or memories they will remember forever after a big win or barn favorite. Additionally- Me and my boyfriend Trace have started to build our own small herd of sheep along with the support of our families. I hope to continue to stay involved with the industry by giving back supporting juniors just
as many did for me!”
“Follow your compass and trust in God’s plan. Psalms 23:4 Sometimes the unknown is scary, but God is our Shepherd. He always has a plan and it’s important to put trust in him. Make goals and follow your dreams.”
